About cookies

Last updated 2026-10-10

This site sets no cookies unless you sign in. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for a session - there is no session until you ask for one. What it does keep in your browser is listed here, all of it.

Kept in your browser

These live in your browser's own storage, never leave it, and hold preferences, not identity. They are the reason the notice at the bottom of the page exists: the rules people call "cookie law" cover anything stored on your device.

Set when you sign in

Signing in with Google or Xaman is optional. It sets three cookies, all first-party, Secure and SameSite=Strict, read only by the sign-in and user pages:

CookieWhat it is forFor how long
whsYour session. HttpOnly: scripts cannot read it.30 days, or until you sign out
whliA hint that you are signed in, so the page knows to draw your name.30 days, or until you sign out

Not ours

The site may be served through a content delivery network, which can set a short-lived security cookie of its own before a request reaches here. It is strictly necessary, carries nothing about you from this site, and is set under that service's terms.

How to clear it

Your browser's "clear site data" for this site removes everything above. Signing out clears the sign-in cookies. Nothing comes back unless you set it again.
